New British Books This Week: May 5th

If you find yourself in London in the near future, you might enjoy checking out the Writers & Rebels Walking Tour (more details HERE). The roughly 2 mile, 2.5-3 hour tour takes you through parts of the city that inspired authors like Dickens, Virginia Woolf, Mary Wollstonecraft, Ben Aaronovitch, JK Rowling, and more.

And of course, if you’re unable to make it to London, there’s always Google Walking. All you need is your computer, and you can click HERE to go to Google Maps. In the bottom right corner of the screen (on desktop/laptop), you’ll find a little yellow person. Click him/her, and you’ll be able to see which streets have Google StreetView - then just click on the spot you want to see (it needs to be somewhere on a blue line, or somewhere with a little circle indicating that someone has done a 360-degree photo in that spot).

You’ll have to do a bit of your own research to find out which spots you want to see, and it’s not as much fun as a real tour - but you can check out a lot more places.
